Enterprise Duet (GW) vs. Netweaver Gateway

Hi,

I am wondering how the Netweaver Gateway in the Enterprise Duet scenario is compareable with the standalone NW GW because we are planning to replace Sharepoint with a SAPUI5 application where we would like to use the NW GW that ships with the Enterprise Duet.

- Is it the same NW GW?

- What do we have to take care about?

- What about the releases? Are we able to update to the newest release of the NW GW?

Hi Vanessa,

the NW Gateway used by Duet Enterprise is the same as the "standalone" NetWeaver Gateway. Duet Enterprise is just another add-on that is deployed on the NetWeaver Gateway system.

We have quite a few customers that are using the underlying Gateway system both for the integration in SharePoint (via Duet Enterprise) and for integrations in other products.

Duet Enterprise does support the latest NetWeaver Gateway running on 7.40.
