Define Country groups

Hi experts,

Can any one clarify the doubt on defining country group.

At the time of defining legal regulations for SPL screening, Embargo, is it necessary to define country groups at that time?

I am clear country groups define groups of countries that have uniform requirements. (Ex: license determination service can use country group that have same licensing requirements.

Thanks in Advance for helpful answer

Hari,

This depends on your requirement. You can activate a legal regulation for SPL and embargo as well for a country group if you feel the regulations are same. For an example. SPL- there are not much differences needed. So u can activate it at country group level.

Hi Hari,

You are right in concept. A country group is a set of countries which we can put together and which have a same regulation requirement. As Dhilipan pointed out, this is mostly used in the case of SPL as they don't have much difference. It may be licensing related country group also but you need to make sure that all those countries follow the same adherence to regulations and there is no difference between them. Any such valid difference will make them non eligible to be clubbed and we should be extra cautious to use them in a country group.

I hope you got it now.

Regards,

Aman
