Dear SAP Specialists.
We are currently monitoring Application Logs in SAP Bank Analyzer 8.0 system within our Business Process Monitoring (BPMon) setup.
Application Log Monitors in Solution Manager are pulling the following key figures from Bank Analyzer:
Number of Critical Messages usually contains Application Log variables in it, instead of the actual values inside the log messages.
EG: The typical messgae may look like this:
"In application log XXXXXXX x : No G/L account derived (FP: &1, BT: &2, CalcStep: &3, Pstg Key Fig: &4)"
For the Post External Busines Transactions (PEBT) subobject, we want to monitor the actual variable values, so we have set Application Log Content monitors, for each of the variables (&1, &2, &3, &4) but they do not pick up any data.
Is that the right use for Application Log Content key figure? Please advise.
Hi Viacheslav
With Application log content monitor, you can check the numeric value of variable.
Let's say &1 alway has success number and &2 always has error number. And you want to know whether error record exist or not.
In this case, you can use AP log content monitor and you can check the number in &2.
Best Regards
Keiji
