Different UOM in Planning book Non ECC

Hello Experts

We have following requirement for a non ECC system and ECC system (Considering both systems)

1. display KF in different unit of measure for different countries.

2. Update Forecast in different currencies .

3. remove inactive CVC from current planning process.

4. providing security on planning book/data view so only different user cannot access other users data .

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

1. display KF in different unit of measure for different countries.

It is assumed that alternative unit of measures are defined in the product master. You can set user settings in APO data view for selection to display the data always in a certain UOM.

3. remove inactive CVC from current planning process.

Go to the transaction /n/SAPAPO/MC62, and use the function "Delete Obsolete Combination". Please note this functionality is only available in SCM 5.1 and higher.

4. providing security on planning book/data view so only different user cannot access other users data .

You can use the following authorization object . Please refer SAP note 400434 - Authorizations in APO demand planning

C_APO_PB: SDP planning books

  ACTVT Activity (01, 02, 03, 06, 16)

  APO_PLBK2 Planning book

  APO_DVIEW Data view

we have a requirement where user want to see forecast in local currencies that they use for their business nd we don't have ECC to update APO exchange rate table. Now updating the table directly with so many currencies which user change on monthly basis is not a good practice i think

what could be the alternate solution ???

users want to see multiple currencies not just USD---> local currrency

Hi Himanshu,

Are you sure SAP only updates exchange table in ECC system and not directly in APO ?

I am not quite sure about this and was always under impression this happens directly in APO or ECC whatever system it is.

But if this is the case we can raise a OSS to SAP as well for the optimum solution.
