Info object maintain directly in DSO without Master data .

Hello all,

DSO Activation failing due to invalid characters hence not able to generate SID's during activation .

Note :  Special characters should be allowed .

I checked info object settings i.e   " Lower case letters is not checked " .

At present no program available to handle these special characters.

No Master data maintainence is possible.

Now please please suggest how to handle these special characters in DSO's .

we are using 7.3 .

Hi,

What kind of issue or special letter you have in your data?

if its lower case issue then you need to select lower case option at info object level.

or at field level you can convert lower case to upper case by using small code.

if you have any special letters issue, inform source team and ask them rectify.

or use routines to rectify them.

Example special charcters "^1-3"   , И.МИНКОЖ  according to business these should be maintained

in BW

What do you think if I maintain in DSO settings like in DSO activation " without SID generation " .

Becasue in few DSO's we have reports in DSO also .

Are you able to reproduce the problem in DEV or QA system?

Transaction RSKC. Copy the contents of the permitted character list into a file and preserve the file for possible future use. Type ALL_CAPITAL in the field (and nothing else.) Try loading and activating the data and see if the problem is resolved. If the problem doesn't go away, restore RSKC content from file and pursue other solutions. If it does go away, discuss with your team and implement ALL_CAPITAL throughout the landscape permanently. Read the below SAP Notes for explanations.

Please once check in table (SE11) RSALLOWEDCHAR whether those specials characters are present  or not.
