But the links u hav provided r specific for zebra printer. What if we want to print the rotated text on any type of printer.

I am not sure , But there is no possibility of rotating window in SMARTFORMS.

Only thing you can try for Vertical Printing is to splint the Variable and print as individual letters. I sounds weird , I know but we did in this way.
