Inventory corrections via MB1A for warehouse managed Sloc

Hi,

To Post the inventory differences in a WM managed storage location we are using MB1A. We enter the IM movement type(This movement type is tagged to 712 WM movement type), Plant and Sloc. on the next screen the user needs to input the storage type & the storage bin to which this stock needs to be posted. This scenario works well but we found one issue.

While entering the storage bin number if user inputs a numer that does not exists in the warehouse as a valid bin then the system if at first creating a new bin with that value and then adds stock in the new bin.

We would like the system to validate whether the bin is valid or not and issue error message rather than creating an unknown bin.

If anyone has suggestions to resolve this issue please let us know.

Better change your process to the desired process.

Use the WM transactions to create inventory documents, and let SAP calculate the difference and then post the adjustment via LI21 to MM.

the MB1A transaction has already limited support only and will go away with the next release as you can read in 1804812 - MB transactions: Restricted maintenance/discontinuation

Without doing the physical inventory in the right matter you cannot use any of the standard reports.

If you want wait with this decision until the very last moment, then implement your check in enhancement MBCF0002  in EXIT_SAPMM07M_001
