GRC AC 10 UAR "Role owner does not have an owner"

I am configuring GRC 10.1 AC UAR. In SAP's UAR Reference Guide on page 13 it states that no WF will be generated with config param 2007 set to NO (request bypasses administrator) and "role owner does not have an owner". What does that mean? Who owns who here 😉 Is it generally not a good idea to let the request bypass admin review? I would like to do so. Thanks!

Hi,

You can set 2007 to "YES" Admin Review required, which means after running UAR job, requests will need admin review, before sending them to reviewers(2006 can be set to manager/Role Owner (Each role must have role owner in this case to reach request to role owner, if 2006 is set to ROLE OWNER and role does not have role owner assigned system will not send UAR to anyone as it cannot determine owner (Exception if detour is set)))

If you set 2007 to "NO" UAR requests will be directly send to Manager/Role Owner as per setting of 2006.

Admin reviews are optional not mandatory, but it is good to have admin review step so you can correct UAR request details.

Dear Joerg,

as Mangesh explained Admin Review can be used to fill out missing information. If an information is missing, either manager or role owner, this can be filled out in admin review before sending out review workflow to role owner or manager.

If you are having lot's of missing information it does make sense to activate admin review to have a chance to fill up missing information so that the workflow can run properly.
