J1IH is used to post excise JV. Is is used for posting the adjustment entries for CENVAT account.
J1IH is used for the following scenarios.
1. Making Adjustment Postings for Scrap(Matl Write-off)
when a material is scrapped then we have to reverse the excise duty debited to your CENVAT account
2. Making Adjustment Postings for Materials Not Used in Production(Matl Non-Prod)
when a material is not used in the production process then we have to reverse the excise duty debited to your CENVAT account.
3. Making Adjustment Postings for Additional Excise Paid by Vendors(Additional excise)
when the vendor has increased the amount of excise duty that it originally charged and then as per the requirement we have to post the difference to the CENVAT account.
4. Making Adjustment Postings for Money Transferred to PLA
To make an adjustment posting when we transfer money to our personal ledger account (PLA).
5. Making Adjustment Postings for Other Transactions(Othr. Adj.)
To make an adjustment posting that does not fall into any of the other categories of adjustment offered by this function. We can only use an external document as your reference document.
6. Cancel Excise Invoice
To cancel the excise invoice and reverse the excise entries
