Java Version for ERP 2005 and Oracle 10.2.0.1

Former Member

Hi all,

I've just a question. I'm trying to install ERP2005 on Windows 2003 Server with Oracle 10.2.0.1.

But the process terminates at the step "Import ABAP" with the error messages concerning "CJS-30022 Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 103 " and " FCO-00011 The step runMigrationMonitor with step key".

I've had a similiar abort with another installation. Could the java version cause this error? Which java version is recommended as standard in regard to our ERP2005-installation?

Please help me !!

Thanks in advance.

10.2.0.1 is not supported.

you have directly update 10.2.0.1 after the installation to 10.2.0.2 and then install at least hotfix 10.2.0.2.12 (current is 10.2.0.2.13).

Using older version of Oracle 10.2.0.2.12 will cause a lot of problems.

By the way, are you installing a blank new ERP2005 or are you performing a systme copy?

Hi Peter,

thanks for your reply.

We want to install a blank new ERP2005.

We will try to install 10.2.0.2 with the current hotfix.

We will inform you, if this step will succeed.

Thanks,

>>>We want to install a blank new ERP2005.

why running the migration monitor?

you are not performing a migration!

Hi Peter,

I have no idea, why the migration monitor runs?

This step is running automatically.

By the way, we just want to install ABAP, and no Java.

10.2.0.2.0 is a patchset and installed with setup.exe belonging to the patchset.

10.2.0.2.13 is a minipatch which is installed by Opatch.

Opatch is located under %oracle_home%\opatch (on 10i only)

fist install patchset 10.2.0.2.0 using setup.exe,

refere to readme.html for details.

after that install minipatch 10.2.0.2.13 with opatch from %oracle_home%\opatch

Hi Peter,

but next week, we plan to install SolutionManager 4.0 on the same machine.

Are there some recommends, that we should attend?

Or can you suggest us a helpful procedure?

Thanks & Have a good weekend!

I would install it on a dev or qa system not on a production server.

Hallo Peter,

I just report to you, because you helped me with other problems very well.

We ve installed ERP2005 and the SolutionManager 4.0 on one server.

I want to handle the brtools also for the SolutionManager. But when I access BRTools, I only can administrate the ERP-System.

How can I access to the BRTools of the SolutionManager-System.

Thanks,

Petra

I suggest that you manually changed the environment according Multiple Oracle Homes section in the installation guide....

you have to use <SID1>adm for adminstrating SID1 and <SID2>adm for administrating SID2.

Thats it - normaly.

regards

Peter
