MaxDB password reset

Dear Experts   

We have forgotten the password set for the maxdb. I have tried using the standard users like control, superdba as suggested in many threads. I have been trying to reset it from a week with the help of threads but was not able to reset or find the password that was set. Do we have any way where we can get the password or reset.Please help

Hi Adithya,

Please try with default password "control" for user control &

superdba "admin"

If these does not work you may reset using the steps explained in SAP help

The SAP library solution holds good if we remember the password. But I do not have the passwords for any user.

1) Have you tried using default standard passwords for control and superdba as mentioned in my response earlier.

2) Open command prompt and type xuser list. Here you should get password for control user atleast.

Yes I have used those passwords earlier as per suggestions in the threads.

For xuser do we have to configure or just in cmd I can get it?

Which user do you use for xuser list? You need to login as <SID>adm.

I have logged into the server using an admin user. I do not see any SID user for the server.

Do you have sidadm user in your server ? Please use the same.
