Deleting the Failed Synchronous messages from SXMB_MONI

Hi Experts,

Can you please help me with solution on how to delete the failed synchronous messages from SXMB_MONI.

I went through many blogs but the standard cancellation job that are mentioned is not helping me.

Hi Vicky,

Please go to SXMB_ADMIN - > Define Interfaces for Archiving and Retention Periods -> Retention Periods.

Set XML Messages with Errors Awaiting Deletion = 1 Hourly.

Please then just setup your archiving jobs and then you will be good to go.

This is what we have on our one system.

AFAIK- You don't need to do anything.. failed synchronous messages should automatically get deleted once the retention period has expired as their status is set to final.

What is the retention period you configured for sync messages?

You can still check ITFACTION the status in the table SXMBPMAST which should be "DEL".

We don't have these messages in SXMSMAST but in SXMSHIST and with field reorg = INI.

So is it like, as soon the retention period expires, these synchronous failed messages will be deleted by the standard cancellation job?

Yes. As for sync messages system error is nothing but final status..
