Hello,
we have an NW AS JAVA with an NW AS ABAP UME data source. Now I want to block single users from beeing replicated from ABAP to Java server, so that they are not available for log on there. Is this possible?
Thanks for any hints in advance.
Best regards
André
Hi André,
Hope you are doing good.
It is simple actually. The users whom you do not want to login via J2EE, just change them to "communication users" from dialog or service type.
The downside is that they wont be able to login from ABAp as well; but when needed you can amend the user master data.
Hope this helps.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Hello André
I did not get your requirement. If you have an ABAP ume why do you want restrict the ABAP users to logon to Java? And if that is the case, what is the purpose of setting ABAP as UME?
I don't think that is achievable. When ABAP is set as UME, the users in ABAP can logon to Java system. In other words, a logging user is checked against ABAP system to grant access.
I hope this information will help here.

Tapan
