Error while transporting Dimension Members from Dev to Quality

Hi all,

I am having issue while I am transporting dimension members from dev to QA, The error log is as below; i am not sure what could be wrong;

Start of the after-import method UJT_TLOGO_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) AAPS,AMBR ( )

Hi Ambika,

Please try the following to set the parameter:

-Goto t-code 'SPRO' >> SAP Reference IMG  >> Planning and consolidation >> Configuration Parameters
-Click Set Global Parameters
-Add a field 'SYSADMIN' and put its value '_SYSTEM'
-This parameter must exists in source and target system both.
-Recreate the transport request and release it

i checked for SYSADMIN parameter, it is not in QA system, but just want to know how this parameter affects the transport failure as this is not the first time we are doing transports, earlier also i had transported with success.

Hi Ambika,

Yeah .. its inconsistent issue. It was a kind of program error in the system related to UJA_DATA_CHECKER and may show different error messages.

So perform the steps I mentioned in my last post. Also please check #1977387.

yes it was because SYSADMIN = _SYSTEM parameter was not maintained in target system.

i maintained this parameter in target system and able to import TR successfully.

i did not recreate TR , i just re-imported the Request.

Also why this parameter is needed now as we are doing transports before also as this is new in SP12.

hi all,

i got again the same error while trying to transport EPM report from Dev to QA, Transport failed with return code = 8 but i can see the report moved to target (QA).

can anyone please help on this.

Hi Ambika,

I think this issue can be resolved by setting up the SYSADMIN parameter.

When transport happens the after-import method runs UJA_DATA_CHECKER to validate the data and while doing so the system pops up with this error.

Make sure that 'SYSADMIN' paramter is set to its proper value in both source and destination system. Both system must have this parameter.

and after assigning SAP_ALL, will the re-import of request will work without creating new one again?

Did you check your member access profiles in target system. Do you have admin rights for environment 'PETFAS'?

yes i have admin rights in both backend and frontend.

and its weird as changes have been done to the dimension in target system but Transport request Return Code is 8(error).
