Udf in not getting updated Urgent

Hi,

i am having sap version 9.0 pl 07.

i m having problem that udf is not getting updated when i update the udf it says operation completed successfully but does not update it.

I have checked with type of udf i.e with valid value type and normal alphanumeric type.

Is there any patch level bug??

hi,

patch level upgrade solve the problem.

but the actual problem was that trigger.

I created trigger which sap was not supporting and hence not updating the udf's.

when we do upgrade sap removes all triggers.

hi,

i was updating the field though sap gui and not having fms in that field.

I have already mentioned that udf with valid values was also not updating (obviously which can not be linked with fms).

however problem got resolved after restarting the server.

Hi

Did you update UDF using Data Transfer Workbench?

If so, there may be a chance for table and object with same name.

And there is the possibility that the data may be updated toward wrong target.

Please advise, how is the UDF supposed to be updated, explain the actual event that triggers the update?
