DNS switching in HANA HA

Hi Team,

I went through the documentation for SAP HANA HA setup , Now bit worried about .
when host autofailover happens , HANA recommends for  DNS switchover , Which is purely  a manual process .

http://www.saphana.com/docs/DOC-2775   it is valid when the standby server is down.

Is there any script that runs to during HANA Switchover , so that we can make DNS switching as a part of this .

Hello,

Scale-Out with Standby does not require DNS switch since its basically one cluster. For all disaster recovery solution DNS switching is required.

Regarding DNS switch script, there is no script developed by SAP. I would say that it requires a vendor-proprietary solution and can be implemented using a number of techniques. Please check for IP redirection or DNS redirection.
