Hi Hayashi,

All the three are different and independent.

Fiori is an app build on Html5  which can be used in moblies, desktops and tablets with the same code.Fiori is an add on to the sap applications its provides an ease to use the sap applications on the smart phones and devices.Nwbc is a service which can be launched from the system directlty and it looks like portal for launching the Nwbc Tcode is Nwbc.It is used by those customers who dont want to use the portal.Portal is based on Netweaver platform.

If u are implementing the SRM7.13 and portal then the interface will look like Portal only.

no need to implement the portal.

Please rever back in case any further info is required .

With Regards,

Rahul

Hello Hayashi,

SAP Fiori is the SAP mobility solutions:

SAP Fiori

So, Fiori will replace nothing. It is just a new tool to access to web applications with mobility solutions.

You need a SAP Netweaver Gateway with its UI tools SAP UI5 to develop for example HTML5 based applications

There is no direct link with NetWeaver Business Client and Enterprise Portal: both are used when you browse in your UI application through laptop or desktop.

Nevertheless, if you use the SRM User Interface Add-On and the NWBC for HTML, you will have a SAP Fiori look and feel as both are based on HTML5.

Besides, as you use SRM EhP 13, you can configure the NWBC for HTML theme to switch to "sap_corbu":

Configuration in Table NWBC_CFG

Thank you very much for your detailed answers.

Can you help explain what the screenshot is ?

NWBC new UI?

And for the following component SAP_UI, what is it used for?

Thanks & Regards,

Hayashi

Hello Hayashi,

first screen-shot is new user interface for Shopping Cart based on HTML5.

For Software Component SAP UI5, check below SAP HELP:

UI Development Tookit for HTML5 (SAP UI5)
It is based on the SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

Check this demo kit:

UI development toolkit for HTML5 - Demo Kit

Laurent,

Thank you very much for you very comprehensive explanation.

So can I nest the UI5(html5) to the portal ?

In my understanding, I can only choose one between portal and UI5

After my srm703 installation, can i use the UI5 directly?

Thank you.

Hayashi

Hi Hayashi

What are the pre-requisites?

Should we install SAP GAteway in SRM server to access SRM Via SAP Fierro?

Thanks

I was puzzled about this UI ,  actually I didnot install the Fiori, I think I just installed the UI5.

You can refer to the link http://help.sap.com/fiori_bs2013  to know something about the Fiori.

Hayashi.

Hi Muthu,

For accesing the Fiori you have to configure the SAP gatway for consuming the Api;s ,

after doing configuration you will be able to see the srm application data on fiori screens ie mobile ,tablet and desktop.

kindly reward if it answers your question.
