Hi all,

I want to transfer a M Master file from R/3 4.7 system to a Ecc 5 system. what steps should i follow to configure my ALE settings in R/3. Please mention the steps and if possible provide me with documentation.

Hi Adi,

Please try to follow these steps for ALE/Idoc.

1. Define two logical system under transation code SALE

2.Assign logical system to client to which u want to send the data

3.Define the RFC Connection under T-Code SM59. define this for both the client.

4.Define model view by going to T-Code BD64, and Attach the message type MATMAS for tranferring the data

5.Define the Partner Profile

6.Distribute it

7.Go to T-Code BD10 to send material master records

By doing this u can able to tranfer the data from R/3 to ECC 5.0

But wat i suggest is that u can use LSMW to upload the Data

Thank you for the answer, but I am looking at more than basic steps MBS. I want to know exactly how does the data transfer happen in inbound idoc and an outbound one. Thats the reason i have asked for notes on the same. WOuld anyone be having some?
