Change of Base UOM of a Product in APO

Hi,

We have been trying to change UOM of a material in ECC and APO system. We made the change directly in ECC and tried deleting every related data from APO for that material before doing a transfer for the changed UOM from ECC to APO. We tried deleting the location products(1 material multiple locations) from APO since, we had planned to do a RIMODINI for this material to transfer the material afresh from ECC with the changed Base UOM.

But, we were not able to delete everything pertaining to the material in APO.We were able to delete all product locations and orders and everything else except for some of the SNC Alerts (type 7402).

Now every time we try to run the program to delete the remaining alerts it runs until it fails with a ts_new_page_aloc failure (memory).　 When we look at the program in SM51 I see it doing very long sequential reads on table /SCMB/ALERTV7402.

How do we delete these alerts? Please advise.

In my experience it is often cleaner and easier to create a new material and transfer the inventory (and history) over to the new material.

In that case you can try to delete alerts first and then delete the other Pdt-loc objects..

I am using the same program for deletion. That is the one which is getting stuck.
