While doing Trex 7.1 revision 43 installation in windows x64 server, following error is coming:

Platform Details:
Domain INstallation

Installing Trex Version: 7.10.43.298728
OS:  MS Windows Server Version 6.2 (Build 9200)
SID: STX

NOTE: After giving Master Password sapinst is not asking for STXADM or SAPServiceSTX password

Please suggest what should be done to fix the issue.

Hi ,

the Revision 43 for TREX 710 is very old . Could you please try to install the latest REV  58. If the issue still not get fixed could you please open OSS message for this (component is BC-TRX).

1. Just restart the system and then try

2. In windows OS firewall & UAC disabled?

3. Kindly refer the SAP Note 877795 - Problems with sapstartsrv Question no 60

And Trex Installation & configuration you can refer the SCN link(In windows / Linux installation & configuration are same)

Hi SS,

Thanks for your reply.

System already restarted but without success.

Firewall & UAC both are disabled.

Here the problem is after giving Master Password SAPInst not asking for other domain users passwords.

And when registering the service it is using the Master Password reather then actual User password and I belive that is why it is failing.

SO, can you please tell me how I can maintain the SAPServiceSTX user password when
executing below steps.

1.  Both User id are as part of local administrator group?

2. If the user id not taking from Domain. try to install the local installation and check

Hi SS,

Yes, both users <SID>adm, SAPService<SID> including the installation users are part of local admin group.

Alreadt tried with local installation and it completed successfully.

But, in this domain all local user will be get deleted after some days so, we have to go for Domain Installation

Is this any AD group policy which getting applied for this computer?  Could you check with ADS admin to find the root case
