Hi Gurus,
Hope all is fine.
I have a quick query.
The issue might look like weird but that's how my client requirements are .
The Scenario is - Scheduling Agreement is running in the organisation. Somehow in the middle stage of the agreement we are not able to supply the material on time because of the raw material not coming on time. Now in this case anyhow the scheduling agreement will be cancelled.
Client wants that somehow if this scenario will come, we should change from scheduling agreement to quantity contract in the middle stage.
Scheduling Agreement Signed of 100 Orders.
Ordered Delivered - 70
Now can't deliverer more on the committed time.
Change of Scheduling Agreement to Quantity Contract for the remaining 30.
Please suggest as it is very critical and important.
Dear Shekar:
Have you tryed this:
1. Create a contract
2. Create the schedule agreement with reference with the contract.
And later if you cancel or change the quantity for item in the schedule agreement, the quantity will be open again in the contract.
Please check it and revert.

Hello Shekhar,
Just a thought, instead of cancelling the scheduling agg, maintain copy control settings between scheduling agreement and quantity contract. Then create a quantity contract.. if this works then you will definitely have a track.
Not sure if this will work... seniors pls comment.

Dear Shekhar Saxena
As per your message, since raw materials are not available the goods cannot be delivered also you have mentioned that when this scenario comes up the schedule agreement already created will be cancelled. So if that is the case the quantity contract should be created for the remaining quantity. You could create the quantity contract and maintain a text with this reason so that there is a connection between the two documents or else with the help of an ABAPer create a possibility of a message pop up before creating the quantity contract so that you could enter the schedule line agreement document number.

There is no standard configuration which can change the SD document category from E(Scheduling Agreement) to G(Contract).
Ideally, you should close the scheduling agreement and create a new contract.
Anyways, you client belong to with industry type and which scheduling agreement type & delivery scheduling your client is currently using, that
Somehow in the middle stage of the agreement we are not able to supply the material on time
Thanks, JP
