ADS configuration in ABAP only system

Dear Experts,

We have SAP ERP EHP7 ABAP only server we want to configure ADS on this server

1. can we configure ADS only ABAP system

2. if yes then any additional license require and what is the configuration steps .

Please guide me

Hello,

You can use the Java stack of Solution manager, ASD is installed on it by default. SAP NetWeaver has the special configuration template to configure ADS. It is easy to use this template for configuration ADS for ABAP System. You don't need additional license for Java application server.

Actually I don't have JAVA based system in my ERP DEV it is only abap based system it's version is sap ECC6 EHP7 .

I have solution manager system it's version is 7.1 sr1 I want  to used it's java instance for ERP DEV ADS .

I test program FP_TEST_00 from ERP DEV system it's working fine also

FP_PDF_TEST_00                                      OK

FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE    OK

FP_CHECK_HTTP_DATA_TRANSFER    ERROR

FP_TEST_IA_01                                           ERROR

Error is

SYSTEM ERROR: ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing data from Destination: dest:FP_ICF_DATA_DEV//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/FP_FORM_SECURITY_TEST.XDP?fp-language=DE(200,101)

Hello,

DO check the every item of SAP Note 915399 and also check
ADS_AGENT roles.

ADS_AGENT must use the following roles:

SAP_BC_FP_ICF      > note 915399
SAP_BC_FPADS_ICF   > note 993612

Make sure tha the tabs Authorization and User have status GREEN for the
role SAP_BC_FP_ICF.

My issue is solved I using solution manager java instance .

still my one query uncleared.

any additional license required like interactive adobe forms etc and also if we converation reports into PDF then any license require

Hi Shahid,

You don't need additional licenses, but you should request from SAP Adobe Credential and install it on Java AS with the ADS service.

Hello,

ADS is a JAVA based software. You need a JAVA stack in order to configure it.
This can be also an external server, like portal server if it has the same release as your ABAP stack.
The configuration guide you can refer to the note :
894009 Adobe Document Services: Configuration Guide (SAP NW 7.0)

It describes the required steps.
