Configuration Of Solman 7.1- Select SLD Step.

Dear all,

We have completed  the Solman 7.1 installation  , using the below  2 Options.

1) Configure a Local SLD & we have entered the parameters for Local SLD Configuration ( Please check screen1 & screen2 )

Screen 1:

Screen2 :

2) We have choosed the SLD destination as "NO Local Destination"

NOW We have started the activity "Configuration of solman Server " and we are in the "System Preparation ---> Select SLD Step ".

Kindly guide what are all details do i need to maintain in SLD configuration column.

What should be the user and password should in give. is it j2ee_admin user or SLDDataSupplier user or SLD ABAP API user

Since in the instaaltion i have selected the option " NO SLD destination", i am not sure how to proceed with the step "select SLD"and the input details to be given to proceed with the activity  "configuration of solman7.1  ".

Also, Please provide Step by step document on Configuration Of Solman server 7.1 .

I tried to ADD Server OPtion. In that can you please tel  the username and Port number to be maintained.

should i give username as solman_admin or j2ee_admin or any other user

Please specify the port number to be maintained . is it 50000 or any other.

The below are port nos maintained in jcmon

do not enter the ABAP ICM HTTP port number.

.

Can you please tel the Username and

SLD (Java)dispatcher HTTP port number.

Hi,

You can user for sld connection.

1) J2EE_ADMIN

2) SLDDSUSER

and make sure to give right password.

No, it's better to use SLDDSUSER - when you have some hundreds systems which all are connected to SolMan it's hard to find out which system locked J2EE_ADMIN when you enter an incorrect password. When J2EE_ADMIN is locked, your J2EE won't come up any more - and the user will get locked again and again.

But before i start with local SLD configuration, we need to execute "Configure Web dispatcher "

can you please tel what should be the webdispatcher to be given for Internal communications

what should be the port number given for the step "access via Web dispatcher" . is it 8001 or 50100

my central instance is 01

and 00 is the java instance''

Hi,

you have used correct port number for web dispatcher.

And one more thing if your instance number is 01 then your port number for sld will be 50100 (5<instances no >00).

username - SLDDSUSER

PORT NO - 50100

Dear Ramesh,

i have given the user as slddsuser and port number 50100 and i saved it .

After giving the above username and portnumber, i clicked the butten "Setup Local SLD" and is gave me the POP up to confirm. I gave ok button and we are unable to open the URL and we getting error as "HTTP 500 Internal server Error "

the below hostname with FQDN is maintained in hosts files also.

URL are working.  But, now te,plate installer is running  as show in below screen shot.

i do not know how long will ittake to complete

could you please tel that is this template installer is mandatory step or can we ignore this step?

Are you trying to setup solman local SLD or trying to connect to some other SLD?

Hi Gayathri,

For Local SLD settings, you not required to press the ADD SERVER Button and all the settings

Just click setup Local SLD settings, it should be green,
