Dear all,

I am about installing an SAP NW PI based on SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR1 on AIX and Oracle 11.2.0.4.

During the Execute phase, an error occured:

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.4 Support Release 1 > Oracle > SAP Systems > Process Integration > Standard System > Standard System( Last error reported by the step: Unable to set access rights of /usr/sap/trans.). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.

Stop the option and continue

with it later.

Log files are written to
/tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW740SR1/ORA/INSTALL/STD/AS
.

The /usr/sap/trans is correctly mounted from the PRD system

The permission for /usr/sap/trans are set to 775

Can someone help to solve this issue.

Many thanks in advance

Regards

Hi Abdellatif,

What you to mean by

The /usr/sap/trans is correctly mounted from the PRD system

The permission for /usr/sap/trans are set to 775

Which system are you installing ? I see that /usr/sap/trans is NFS mounted .

In that case please set the GUID for installed system similar to that of production system.

Also set the permission as 777 and owner as sidadm:sapsys

Check the suggestion and post the results.

Hope this helps.

Hi Abdellatif,

Please check whether you can create or modify any file from development server under /usr/sap/trans

I feel the NFS mount is not done with RW access to everyone. Please check the same and correct it if required.

Hope this helps.
