Our organizational policy is that SAP Document Management System users check-in their CAD documents immediately after working on then so that other user have access to them when they are needed.
Occasionally, some one will leave a document checked-out so that it is not available. In the extreme, we have had users leave a document checked-out and be away for medical reasons, or vacation or travel for extended periods make the document unavailable for long periods of time. Is there an administrator function that would allow someone other than the person who checked the document out - to check the document in?
Thanks,
BGS
As standard, If the other user have access rights to view and change the DIR, then user can also to check in the originals. And as I know, DIR can't be locked by bases on user.

Hello Smith,
There is simple function for your problem just assign same roles to other person or remove check out from Status it self by DC10 status log.

Hi Smith,
DMS have standard functionality to make the check in automatically once the attached document will be saved in DIR.
Also other person can do check in if he has the authorization of that DIR, if you don't want to make the check in automatically.
