Some communication channels don't work, but still "functioning"...

Hi !!

We have some issues with communication channels in our environments. Some work ok, some suddenly (also in production environments) stop working, that is, for example in File Adapters, they stop polling the directory...we noticed that files were accumulating and that the comm channel log in runtime workbench has a very old last "Polling interval started...".

Still, the short log says "Functioning". If we press STOP and then START, everything works ok, for 2 o 3 days.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance,

Matias

Hi Ilan !

I've asked for that info to the Production server administrator. He sent me this:

Hey,

This thread might be usefull for you:

or

If this does not helps, you might do a workaround of stoping and starting the channel automatically every day:

/people/sap.user72/blog/2006/06/04/starting-stopping-of-communication-channel-from-rwb

this will require upgrade to SP19 (p.s an upgrade might solve your issue)

Otherwise, you will have to ask your system administrator to increase the log of

com.sap.aii.mdt.amt.channelmonitoring

and I also recommand to search for errors in the XI j2ee log,

in the time that the adapter stopped working.
