IDES installation Vs Standard Installation

Hello Guru,

We have SAP NW04 Installations DVD's. This is an IDES installation and I was wondering if I could use same DVD for standard installation without pre-configured scenarios.

In short I am not interested in pre-configured implemented scenarios in administrator work bench. I would rather like to create all objects starting from logical systems, RFC, Datasources etc.

Is there any work around or I have to order new set of DVD's.

Secondly, do we have to get license for second installation (for development) on same landscape.

as the dvds are nothing more than a database export the content differs (hugely) between a standard import and an ides import...so if you want to install a "standard" netweaver you'll need the appropriate dvds...in your case this means you have to order the dvds

you will need another license for your development system but to no extra costs...you can apply for the license at sapnet
