Setting up HTTPS communication

hello all,

i´m setting up my Sap solution Manager, in step system preparation, i have my https service created but i can´t activate the service, in step Check Secure Web Browser Comm. (HTTPS).

Where can i find more detailed configuration for this step?

Hi Oscar,

Add entry in TC: SMICM --> Goto --> Services. select HTTPS and click on Service --> Activate

when i click activate it gives this error

Operation failed (rc=1)

Message no. ICM006

i already setup icm/server_port_2 = PROT=HTTPS, PORT=1443

Hi Oscar

Follow this OSS note for the required parameters for Solution Manager, instance restart is required to activate these parameter (if changed).

1582842 - Profile parameters for SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Also check this KBA for troubleshooting any such protocol (http, https or SMTP)

1792296 - When activating the SMTP service message number ICM006: "Operation failed

1951806 - SSL port not activie error in version 7.1X and above
