Parts Staging Manually on Certain Orders

Hello Gurus,

We have set up WM-PP interface for parts staging for a production order.

Control cycle is maintained and it is not material specific.

With this setting the TR is created automatically upon order release and have a RLAUTA10

run as a batch job to create a TO automatically for those TRs created.

With that said, here is what I want to do.

I want to manually create a TO on certain orders.

What can I do to accomplish this?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Eddie

On those certain orders that you want to create TO manually,
do you still get the TR created automatically?

What is the criteria for those certain orders?
Do you only need to create TO manually before TR is automatically
transferred to TO by RLAUTA10, or you have another reason for this?

Please give a bit more detailed information.
If your TR is created you can convert them to TO by using LB1X transactions manually.
If that's not the case please elaborate...

Yes, there will be TRs which will be automatically created via production scheduling profile upon order release.

We also have set auto TO creation for staging TRs thus when RLAUTA10 program runs (hourly batch job) it will pick up those TRs and create a TO automatically.

And I want the TRs from those work orders to be skipped as the TO will be manually created.

Hope I provided enough information.

Thanks,
Eddie

OK, I understand now.
Your requirement is to skip those TRs in RLAUTA10 and to only allow manual TO creation.

Now we need to define the criteria by which the system will know which TRs not to process in RLAUTA10.

So we need to block the TR from being processed in RLAUTA10, or make changes in RLAUTA10, and create ZRLAUTA10 with specific changes which fulfill the requirements.

So, we are back to the question which criteria do you have for those TRs?
Do they have some specific mutual characteristic, or maybe they cannot be grouped in any way automatically but need to be chosen manually?

The specific requirements on what TRs to pick is something I need to get from the requester.

Changing RLAUTA10 is one way but is removing PSA from a workcenter assigned to a work order could be another option?

Thanks,
Eddie

Ok, does that mean that you will aways block TRs involving this work center?
Then you can automate it easily, we have our criteria.

If not, then manually blocking TR in some way after work order release is the solution to look for.
You can have different approaches here, e.g. add an indicator at TR header level, and simply modify RLAUTA10 not process TRs with this indicator.
