any way to disable TOP n function in IQ 1270

Hi Experts,

My client asked if there is way to disable TOP n function in IQ 1270 since some end users used TOP n function on large

base table/ union all view, which will consume lot of IQ system resource and slow down IQ 1270 server performance !!

I checked IQ 1270 Reference Manuals and did not find related setting to fulfill client's goal !!

Do you have traceflag to use to disable certain function in IQ 1270 for AIX ??

Please advise !!

Hi Robert,

No specific option to controle TOP/First features use.

However other options exist to control IQ resources.

Eg. Query_temp_sopace_limit, Query_Time, Max_IQ_Threads_Per_Connection, Max_Cartesian_Result.
