FF logs not generating

Hi Gurus,

We got a probleme here. FF logs are not coming to controller for few ids.

For ID's its generating and approver can see the logs in inbox.

Controller getting the notification but not able to see the logs.

Action usage table is full , is this causing issue But I doubt because for some ids its generating.

Sync jobs running successfully. Can anyone suggest anything ?

Dear Munish,

seems to be strange if it is working for some and for some not. Did you check the authorization? Are "some" missing anything?

If configuration for all controllers is similar (e.g. notification by workflow and not by email) it should work for all and then it might be an authorization issue.

Please let me know if all controllers do have the same authorization and also the same notification setting ("Notification by", options are Workflow, Email and Log Display).

Thanks for your reply. I thought the same . I checked roles , controller settings - it's workflow only.

There are diff. FF ids - category -a and Category -B .

for Category a - Logs getting generating and for Category B - Controller gettings notification email but in work inbox - No logs.

I have checked the Jobs - running successful . Data is present in R/3 System but not coming in Inbox to take action.

Our client email address is different than ours - So I check that too . May for external email we are not getting logs but for some we are getting.

What can be cause .. I have almost everthing . Can you please suggest if anything am missing or  i can check.

Dear Munish,

now I am a bit confused

Let me check if I got everything correctly:

  • All controllers do get the notification
  • Some controllers do see the work item in their inbox, some not
  • External emails: some are sent, some not
  • Authorization: all have the same roles assigned in GRC box
  • FF logs are captured from a single back end system

My questions/suggestions:

  • Which SP level are you?
  • Did you check the following notes:
    • 1733881 - EAM: Sometimes Work flow sync job not sending work flow
    • 1836769 - Log Approval Workflow not working

Please check SP level and note 1836769 as it seems to be similar than your problem.

Please check the following note:

1967403 - EAM: Resolving the "Invalid Log Report" error in Firefighter Log Review reports

Contain notes for each sp level to be applied.

Dear  Alessandro,

Let me put it again :

Security FF id's : ABC_01 , Abc_02

Developer's FF ids : XYZ_01 , XYZ_02

Controller : John

John getting logs for Security FF ID's but not for Developer's FF id's.

I have checked what you have mentioned above . Thanks a lot for your time and valuable inputs

I don't think so. As emails are sent correctly for the same approver it has something to do with the configuration for the other FF id's. Did you check the two OSS notes? Are those implemented? Did you check if notification is set to "Workflow" for all FF id's?

Also check the MSMP instance. Do you see something there? Use transaction GRFNMW_DBGMONITOR_WD.
