Hi ,

Issue was resolved after doing the stack upgrade using SUM tool

Hi,

I am stuck in the same situation, trying to update Basis(KB74008.SAR) and Aba (KA74008.SAR) packages from SUM (latest version) and copy the .SAR file in EPS/in and try to upload the same in SUM, and getting the error: Incorrect input; provide the correct path to the directory.

Also tried giving full permissions to SAR file.

Please let me know how to implement the above packages using SUM. (need stack file or not)

Please advice.

Hi Rachit,

You need a stack file in case of Abap.

Hi Ashutosh,

Thank you for your reply.

I am trying the same using Mopz (calculate automatically) but not able to find the packages I need (mentioned above).

And when I select manually, then stack file won't generate.

Rachit

Hi Rachit,

You don't need to place those files in EPS/In directory, Just maintain the downloaded files and xml file

in one directory and give the path of the xml location when sum prompts as shown below

Hi Rachit,

Please generate the stack.xml using solution manager by following the below link.

http://scn.sap.com/community/it-management/alm/solution-manager/blog/2013/05/03/quick-xml-stack-gene...

Normally the xml file is pushed to solution manager /usr/sap/trans

1)Download all the patches and xml file and copy to server(Patch upgrade server)

2)When SUM ask input for XML, give the above XML location.

Hi Krishna,

As per your screenshot you should install add-on ST 712. But I don't undestand very well what are you trying to install/upgadre because add-on ST is a part of Solution Manager.

Check sapnote 394616 - Release strategy for SAP Solution Manager.

What is the support package you are trying to install?

Best regards,

Martina

Hi Martina ,

I'm trying to to install SAP_BASIS SP 2 to SP 3  it shows the above mentioned pre-requites.

Not sure what exactly the component ST 712  release means ?

Hi Krishna,

If you check the import conditions of SAPKB74003 you could see the next:

So you must install the Add-on ST 712.

Hi Krishna,

Try the solution:

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3455075

You have 2 import conditions in SAPKB74003, try fullfilling the pre-requisite of the first block, and going ahead. The pre-requisite of the first block marks ST 712 as False.

Hope this helps.

Martina
