Connect. test with dbmcli db_state Unsuccessful

Hi Experts !!!

After Server SAP Prd Restart, when I try to schedule  backups in DB13 i got the following error:

DBM Error 53  - DBM System Error

Error when calling function module DBM_EXECUTE_SDB

Command:                                dbm_version

Name and Server     : TGP - COBO10-01-212

DBMRFC Function     : DBM_CONNECT

Error               : DBM Error

Return Code         :         -2

Error Message       : ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM

Selected action is not supported by remote system.

I run the connection test in Tx db59 and the result was:


1. Connect. test with "dbmcli db_state"                         Unsuccessful

   dbmcli_command_execute_error

   Error! Connection failed to node COBO10-01-212 for database TGP:

   -24700,ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM server.

   -24832,ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE: Shared memory not available

   -24827,ERR_SHMALLOCFAILED: ID F:\sapdb\data\wrk\TGP.dbm.shi, requested size 2600

   10,Opening shared memory file F:\sapdb\data\wrk\TGP.dbm.shi failed, rc = 5.

   External program terminated with exit code 2

2. Connect. test with command mode "dbmrfc db_state"            Unsuccessful

   dbm_system_error

   Name and Server     : TGP - COBO10-01-212

   DBMRFC Function     : DBM_EXECUTE

   Command             : db_state

   Error               : DBM Error

   Return Code         :         -2

   Error Message       : ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM

3. Connect. test with session mode "dbmrfc db_state"            Unsuccessful

   dbm_system_error

   Name and Server     : TGP - COBO10-01-212

   DBMRFC Function     : DBM_CONNECT

   Error               : DBM Error

   Return Code         :         -2

   Error Message       : ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM

4. Connect. test with "native SQL"  ( TGP )                     Successful

How can I fix this issue?

Hi Daniel,

You may stop the application and database.

Then rename the following files or move them to different location

F:\sapdb\data\wrk\TGP.dbm.shi

F:\sapdb\data\wrk\TGP.dbm.shm


Then start database and application ..


Also check whether file system /sapdb has been mounted with CIO option. If yes, then mount is with normal RW and check the results.

I did the exact procedure as described, but the result remains the same.

Can you test with full reboot of the server.

Hi Deepak !!

Reboot the server yesterday but the result remains the same.

It will be advisable to scale the SAP case?

NOTE: The server does not restart automatically, must be done manually

Have any other ideas that can help me?
