Fiori Launchpad Blank

i'm trying to configure fiori wave for Approve PO and Track PO applications.

when i try to access the urls for the apps individually then they work fine.

approve PO:- http://<server:port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/ui5_mm_po_apv/index.html

Track PO:- http://<server:port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/ui5_mm_po_tr/index.html

both the links above return the data properly for the user.

But when i try to access the FIori launchpad and launchpage for the same user, the page appears blank. i could not see any catalogs on the launchpad and lauchpage. please help.

i tried executing the service:- 

sap/opu/odata/ui2/page_builder_cust/chips('x-sap-ui2-chip%3a%2fui2%2fapplauncher_dynamic')

using the gateway client.

in the response i got one property containing:-

http response failed for ui2 chip xml with path sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/tilechips_dynamic.chip.xml retun code: 0, reason: status: 403, reason : forbidden

checked another blog with a similar issue but the fix was deleting and re-adding few service. i did that already but the issue still persist.

i know you are on vacation, but thanks Masa for your response.

i just fixed the issue. got some help from our dev colleagues on msg 391565.

the issue was, i have gw and erp installed on separate box, and i had two system alias created with trusted connection for connecting to erp. i had added all the UI services from ERP and that seems to be cause of the issue.

now i removed all my system alias, created one pointing to local GW, one pointing to ERP with default software version and the third one pointing to ERP with PGW.

added all the UI2 services from local GW per document http://help.sap.com/saphelp_uiaddon10/helpdata/en/5e/55f15acb5d4692b200280b41d80c5c/frameset.htm

rest of the services i added from ERP and when i accessed launchpad, it all started working fine.

i tried double checking the add-ons and Notes. they are all fine.

checked the trusted rfc connection in sm59.

checked the system alias for both the software versions.

re-tested all the apps in maint_service.

checked the user roles and rights.

tried following the steps mentioned in the troubleshooting steps of the above links.

still no luck. the problem is i don't see any error in the service or in the url while i'm trying to access them.

one doubt here is, should i manually try adding the apps(as PO approve and PO track are wave1 apps) in launchpad??

while i was trying to add a catalog manually in the customization url for launchpad, i can't see any tiles under the catalog that i created.

any help on this is appreciated.

thanks Masa for your quick response. the links you sent mostly talk about lauchpage, i'm trying to configure wave2 with launchpad.i was checking the lauchpage just to find out if that's working or not.  

i did check F12 option of chrome while accessing the launchpad url, but there are no errors in the network tab.

Hi Amit,

Troubleshooting steps are same for old launchpage and new launchpad. You should do troubleshooting to find the root cause is in OData side or UI side.

I believe you installed correct packages. If you are not sure please double check again.

Important Note: Please use new UI with new SAP Fiori Launchpad

New UI components have UI extension points and work with new SAP Fiori Launchpad.

Please find correct components based on your Backend version.
