Data Deletation from PSA

Hi,

Today our Basis team complained that they are running low of diskspace in BW Development system and they can't increase the disk space any further.

In BW i started deleting the Requests from PSA.

RSA1> PSA> under the PSA icon deleted all the requests and

Right click the PSA and selected DELETE DATA from context

menu and deleted requests from PSA Data Base tables.

I have deleted nearly 100 requests............

But suddenly our BW system become very slow i have been trying to loging to my bw system by entering user id and pwd by it is still executing from past 30 mins...

is the deletion of requests(100) at once from PSA effects on performance and how can i resolve this

I'll start the thread off....

Deletions can be slow.

Also, the archiving part can also slow the system.

Is the oraarch directory filling up and the archive log backups/deletions slowing the system?

Other people can now chime in....

maybe your deletion job is still running and slowing down your system?
