Suppose there are 6 men and 4 women in the class, then if all the source files are read successfully then the target directory for men should have 6 files and the target directory for women should have 4 files.

are you telling that in one xml you will have 6 men in the source file. then in the target you need separate file for each man?
if yes you can do that using multi mapping. you also have option recordsetpermessage in sender FCC.
please explain if i did not get you.

Using a variable substitution/dynamic configuration/multi mapping/ separate receivers for each gender
