Installation stucks at "Install Java engine" with error

I am trying to go through Netweaver 7.0 ehp1 java+sybase on linux, i met this kind of stuck while install the primary application server instance.

Please paste the jvm_bootstrap.out and log_bootstrap.log  from the instance work directory.

Hi Spencer,

From the logs it looks like DB connection is failing

Check whether DB is running ?

Additionally check SAP note 1561655 - Failed to start J2EE config tool due to scanning DB error

Hi Deepak,

I just tried su - dlpamd and startdb, it says completely started.

Could you kindly inform me any better or a right way to check if DB instance is working properly in my case.(Linux+java distributed).

on localhost:50013, i can only see the SCS instance, no DB instance there.

isql -S Server -U sapsa -P Password
