Remove language in SMLT

Hi,

I have to install French Canadian 3F language. I have classify it in SMLT with English as supplement language but not imported the supplementation language to individual clients.

SAP is not allowing any changes to that entry nor i can able to delete (via report RSLANG20) and recreate it.

Please suggest if anyone have any info on this.

The report RSLANG20 only removes the language load (kind of an pre-compiled language) and not the language itself. SAP does not have a formal function for this, but one article have been published here on the SCN.
Please note that it is essential that the language has not been imported (in ANY client)!

I haven't tried this myself but it looks promising.

Hi Tomas,

I have resolved the issue.. and I have got the same document while searching on SDN. But I have performed some more steps along with the steps given in the Document.

Here is what I did:

1. Followed the steps given in the doc

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/000a8d28-74ae-2c10-0f80-afe24bfc0...

2. Reset the buffers following the SAP note 110910 - Deleting the language load

3. Take a restart of system if required.

In your case, the order of the language supplement is very important.
Only German and English i 100% translated so you need to first supplement French (with English), then French Canadian (with French). That is the only way to get "full" languages and to avoid system dumps and other mysterious errors.

Hello

Did you at first import the language by itself ?

You should :

1) import language from installation language DVD

2) import language part form imported SP (since installation)

you will need to have the SP car files unpacked in transport dir

3) supplement language

Check the here under OSS note that gives details about all these steps

Best regards

Hi Yves,

My question is different... I need to change the supplement language of FR CA from English to French.
