GRC AC 10.0 Java Server Access Information for Web Services Navigator

We have configured IDM VDS to communicate with GRC AC 10.0 (SPS10) Web Services. This is working fine in DEV. However our sticking point is the setting in SOAMANAGER for Java Server Access Information for Web Services Navigator. We do not have a GRC Java instance. What is SAP's best practice for this setting?

Log in to SAPGUI and run tcode SOAMANAGER -> Technical Administration ->SAP Client Settings -> Web Services Navigator

We tried the ABAP Web Service on port 8000 but we get this error when testing Open Web Service navigator for selected binding

Basis wants us to use the IDM Java instance for the GRC AC 10.0 (SPS10) WS... We have complied in DEV but serious reservations for PROD as it could impact the WebUI for IDM.

What have others used and where is the SAP documentation stating the best practice?

Hello Jonathon,
can you clarify what is meant when you say that ' We do not have a GRC Java instance' - are you setting up GRC with VDS and trying to introduce another server to handle
the GRC webservices in some way ?

Thanks,

Chris
