Hi, I have a question on SMP3 and AppDevelopment (Agentry): Will there be capability for native feature access or peripheral integration capability (Eg: Bluetooth printer, NFC ?)
Hi Raviraj,
yes, that's possible. SMP3.0 comes with OpenUI. It's a set of APIs per platform (Windows, Android, iOS) to build custom add-ins using the respective platform dependent dev language which can be integrated into Agentry applications. This allows to build support for things like bluetooth printing, NFC, GPS, GIS, etc.
SAP Work Manager 6.1 (due end of June from what I heard) will e.g. have a GIS integration based on OpenUI so that you integrate e.g. with ESRI GIS.
Another use case you might have heard about is Visual Enterprise which SAP acquired a while ago. That software displays 3D models of equipments with which you can interact: zoom in/out, select parts, etc.
Check out the OpenUI documentation: Agentry OpenUI API
