How to sort month names in Design studio

Hi Community,

   Is there any way to sort month names in proper order (ie jan,feb,mar......) in design studio!!

Thank you for your suggestions,

My database is HANA.

I need to sort Month names in proper order.

The data should be sorted based on month name (January,February,March,etc) and not based on a measure

Hi Vivek,

Create a calculated column in HANA and Try to add month number in front of month name. So that when you sort it in design studio initial view in ascending order it will be in 01_jan, 02_feb, 03_mar.

Hi,,

You can do practicly the same inside design studio.

right click on the datasource -> edit initial view - > right click on the measure you want to sort -> sort -> ascending

Hello,

Try sorting your month dimension with  "sort by key"--->"ascending" option at bex query designer; at Properties-->Display . Afterwards you can use your sorted months with names on design studio.
