Automatic Import Issue

Dear Experts,

We are facing, one strange issue while auto importing XML file.

Whenever XML file containing a record is imported ( created) , a blank record is also getting imported into MDM.

Even in reports it shows 2 records created.

When we try to manually import this file, it imports a single correct record only.

Had anyone experienced such type of issue earlier ?

Dear Ranjeet,

Could you please specify the exact MDM version on which the issue occurs and specify to which
type of MDM table the record is imported (hierarchy, lookup, taxonomy etc.).

We are working on 7.1 SP10 and trying to update a main table containing mainly Text fields.

Thanks for the information.

It seems that the issue that you are experiencing is MDM coding error, the issue was fixed in SP12, and occurs when the XML source file has only 2 levels.

The possible workaround is to Import manually as was mentioned by you, or to use XML files with more than 2 levels.
