Data Manager slows down for other users when one user checks out/check in records in 100s

Hi Experts,

We are witnessing "Data Manager slow down for other users(COMPLETE UNRESPONSIVE/GETS STUCK) when one user checks out/check in records in 100s".

Have any of experienced this issue, how did you resolve the issue?

Our data model has 1.5+ million records,15000+ attributes, 5000+ categories. Workflows work with checkout/check-in feature.

Hi Ganga,

It's annoying to address performance issue of MDM repository with such a huge data. There are similar concerns with my system where other End users are not able to logon (or) perform any kind of action when some record modification  is under process. When bulk import takes place (or) records undergo modification through checkout/checkin option it creates a lock on entire repository thereby stopping users to perform any sort of action on the repository.

Recommended action:

1.Schedule checkout/checkin action through workflow post-business hours.

2.If modification occurs during business hours, suggest users to wait until repository lock(shared or exclusive) is cleared i.e. workflow with checkout/checkin action gets completed (in your case)

3.Contact SAP, raise OSS message and convey your concern.
