Restrict the change of a Characteristic Value

How can authorizations be configured to restrict users from changing the values of only a specific set of characteristic in MSC2N?

Hi,

   Hope the authorization object: C_KLAH_BKL (Authorization for Classification) will work in your case. Activity 02 is for change authorization. You may check with the BASIS team.

   Please note that it will be at transaction level, not at specific set of characteristics. If you want it for specific set, then you need to go for custom authorization object with relevant logic.

If You need you can an customized authorization object if you want restrict specific set of Chars. or do check with the MSC1N authorization object "C_KLAH_BKL" and tell your security team to assign the activity only 03 display

What do you mean by specific set of chars? if need you can restrict the whole transaction based on authorization object
