Do not select "Cleanup and start refresh" before
finalization
When the Software Update Manager has completed the
update or upgrade and is at the end of the post-processing roadmap step, the
dialog
"You can clean up the tool directory and start a new
run."
appears on the SUM GUI with the following options:
In this case, select "Continue" and choose the button "Continue"
afterwards.
Do not select "Cleanup and start refresh". This ends the internal
SAPup programm immediately and prevents the display of the screen "Summary and
Evaluation of the process". However, your update or upgrade is not affected, as
this has already been completed successfully.

Hello Ben,
from the above it seems that technically the upgrade is finished. So you should proceed with the
post upgrade activity. However please make sure to do the full testing to check if all functionality is working before releasing the system to end-users.
I think now the thread can be closed.

gaurav
Hi Gaurav,
I have same issue in this step. I thought once I selected "Cleanup and start refresh", the disk space occupied by database in step db_clone would be released. But as the note says, I stop upgrade and exit the program, though the version of support package shows correctly, the disk space is not released. Can you give me some advises? Thank you very much.
Br,
Pany
Hello,
Can you please provide the last screenshot (in post processing phase). It seems that you used
clean up and start a fresh option. Can you confirm ??
Thanks.

Gaurav

Hello,
I think that technicaly the upgrade is completed. but since you selected this option all logs are zipped
and saved. Can you find the ABAP<timestamp>.SAR file in your upgrade or trans directory.
I would need the SAPupConsole.log file to vaconfirm.
You need to find the ABAP<timestamp>.SAR file and unzip it and provide me the SAPupConsole.log file so I could check and confirm this.
Thanks.

Gaurav

Hello Ben,
As i said earlier, current SAPupConsole.log from abap/log/ directory is not the file I want here.
AS you can see that this file do not have info for previous steps. As you mentioned that you was in
postprocessing, this file should all the info. regarding those phases as well but since cleanup and start a fresh option was selected, all logs were zipped so please check if you can find a
file ABAP<timestamp>.SAR . Extract this with SAPCAR and then you should find the SAPupConsole.log .

Gaurav

Hi,
If it can't extract the software, can you check whether there is space on the filesystem?
