OS Version not supported

Hi All, Before installing SAP ERP 6 EHP4, when checked prerequisites found that windows os version is not supported. So please help us to download windows server 2008 version 6.0. Thanks, Sam

Hi Sam,

As per SAP note 1486772 - SAP Systems on Windows Server 2008 R2

Your error message of Windows not supported can be ignored.

Point to note :

1) Always use latest version of SWPM installer to avoid such error messages. These bugs are fixed in newer versions

2) Always use latest kernel version and patch supported for your release. You may use 720_EXT or 721 kernel for your setup. Please check PAM for more details,

Hi Sam

1. I thing your are using the SAPINST.exe.  Installation Master CD not supported Windows 2008 R2 (Version 6.1) ,try to download the latest installation master CD/DVD from SAP Service Market Place. or Use the latest version SWPM as said by Deepak.

2. if possible download the SAP ERP 6 EHP4 installation media's from SAP Service market place

Hi, How can i change windows server 2008 version 6.1 to windows server 2008 version 6.0. Is that possible to change the version from 6.1 to 6.0. Thanks, Sam

If you have a supported OS according to PAM then ignore the message. Are you using the SWPM to do the installation ?

For this you have to reinstall OS Windows 2008 server Enterprise edition 64 bit (Not on R2) because we are also faced same issue 2 year back
