Invalid IS repository connection information to Oracle 11g

I am trying to install information steward (IS) and configure the repository to an oracle 11g database. This is a brand new installation and I was able to connect to the IPS CMS and IPS audit databases using TNS connection. However, the IS repository database is giving me the error above when entering the parameters in the installation GUI. The parameters I am entering are:

Reposiroty Database type: Oracle 11g

JDBC Driver Files: D:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\jdbc\ojdbc6.jar

Connection details:

   Conection Type: Oracle 11

Machine Name: xxxx01.xxxxx.com (machine where the database reposity is hosted at)

Port number: 1521 (same as in TNS entry).

SID: xxxxdev (same as service name in TNS entry)

   Username: ISxxx

   password: xxxx

The repositories (CMS, Audit, and IS) are on the same database under different Oracle schemas.

Environment: Windows Server 2008 R2, Oracle 11.0.2.0, 3 schemas on same database xxDev, Information Steward 4.2SP1

Thanks.

Did you ever get this fixed?

I'm having the same problem.

Yes, the issue was fixed when the DBA gave the service account admin access to the schema. The documentation is not clear as to what the specific access the service account needs, so he gave it all.

Hi Rene,

It seems you have not installed the Oracle JDBC driver / the correct version of JDBC driver. Check and install the correct version of Oracle JDBC driver and then connect.
