SAP Basis netweaver task in SAP LT

Hi Experts,

Could you please let me know what is the task of SAP Basis Netweaver consultant in a SAP LT project. I want to know if there is anything challenging work other than uploading required support packages.I assume there can be one or two client copies , a couple of system copies.  I think the task is all functional or ABAP not much in Basis, am I right?

Hi,

It depends on how you want to use SAP LT.

Anyways Basis has lot of activities in almost all LT projects - starting with Add-On installation, SP patching, User roles/authorizations, System settings, user locking, system monitoring to name a few..

Thanks for the reply. So the SAP Basis/Netweaver consultant should be at onsite to plan and deliver SAP LT isnt? Executing from offshore will not ensure proper planning and execution ?

Onsite/Offshore decision has to be made on factors like location/budget etc
