SWPM installation/ Windows VM Issue

Hi All,

I'm doing an installation of 7.4 SR1 of PO using SWPM 1.0 SP5 on a Windows 2008 R2 VM

At the very begginning I select the Product, system logs me off and back on and at the Updating system DDL's phase, it fails.

I believe the issue is windows related, either GPO related or missing version of files.

Anyone have an idea?

Hi Joshua,

The error with vcredist_x64 is pretty common, so I'd get the latest version.  Once that's installed properly then things should go okay.  As you say, uninstalling the version you have may well help.

Uninstalled. reboot, reinstall, reboot resolved my issue.

Hi Joshua,

Have you installed Microsoft redistributable runtime DLLs VS2005 SP1(x86_x64) on your server ?

If not please do it and test the results.

Deepak, It's already installed. Maybe I remove and reinstall.
