Hi experts,
we are facing the following problem.
Each day I can find some old lock entries in SM12 (older than 1 day).
We have maintained the auto-logout to 3 hours.
So it seems, if an user gets log-out automatically the lock sometimes gets not deleted.
Does anyone know a solution for this problem?
Or how to avoid this problem?
Kind regards

Hi,
Enqueue mechanism is automatically managed in SAP, no need of user intervention.
If you have lock entries for a long time, it means "something is active".
You should look at active sessions, background jobs, business process which is causing.
Check whether it is happening for one table or for entire system, if it is for particular table then it can be traced easily using the tcode/table.
If it is happening for entire system, then check whether you have sufficient update processes or not? what is the status of update (SM13)?
